FAQ’s

What's included in the holistic assessment?

Your initial holistic assessment includes a thorough review of your medical history, current eating patterns, lifestyle habits, supplement use, and overall health goals. After I get to know you and understand the full picture of your health, we’ll work together to create a realistic, personalized nutrition plan that’s tailored to your needs and priorities.

What is included in a follow up?

Follow ups are opportunities for further education on nutrition topics I see fit for your situation, to assess progress, address questions or concerns you have, and to tailor goals and treatment as needed.

Do I pay monthly or is it a one time fee?

The Nourishing Starter Package is paid in full before the first appointment. Ongoing follow-up appointments are also paid in the full before the appointment.

Are your services covered by insurance?

I can provide you with CPT codes to provide to your insurance company, however coverage is not guaranteed.

How is care set up?

There is an option for video chat appointments or in-person visits for local clients (Spokane, WA). In-person visits are held at any Spokane Public Library in their conference rooms.

What does Certified Nutrition Specialist actually do?

A Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS) is an advanced nutrition professional who uses extensive education, clinical training, and a root-cause, holistic approach to create highly personalized nutrition plans that help reduce symptoms, support a wide range of health conditions, and complement the management of diagnosed diseases.

CNSs are qualified health professionals who practice medical nutrition therapy (in states where permitted) and conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments for every client. This includes evaluating macronutrient balance (carbohydrates, fats, protein, hydration), micronutrient status (vitamins and minerals), and system-wide imbalances in areas such as digestion, hormones, cardiovascular function, and the nervous system. These assessments help identify factors that may contribute to symptoms or increase the risk of chronic health concerns.

They are trained in both disease prevention and nutrition-based support for diagnosed conditions, using a whole-person approach that considers your medical history, lab results, lifestyle factors, stress levels, sleep quality, environmental exposures, food allergies or intolerances, and more.
